June 12, 2015 - This week's "Fave" Run

My favorite running publication (and that of most runners) features a "Rave Run" in each issue highlighting picturesque/challenging/unusual routes from around the world.  Rather than risk a copyright infringement this Blog will occasionally present a "Fave Run" - my personal favorite route of the week.  This week I traveled to Wompatuck State Park in Hingham to check out the new trail connecting the Wompatuck Visitors Center and the Cohasset Train Station.  The trail, a 5 Mile out-and-back, is primarily flat with a rolling hill at the start/finish and features a newly paved trail in the first half out, changing to a stone dust trail in the second half.  Turn-around at the end of the trail (Cohasset Station) and continue back on the soft trail 1.25 Miles, finishing again on the paved portion of the trail.  The Wompatuck Visitors Center, where you'll start and finish, has a water fountain and rest rooms.  You can also pick up a trail map of the entire park while you're there.
