Follow up to Practice 1

I was impressed by some of the performances today.  Very impressed overall, really.  If you have not seen the Time Trial results they are below in my previous entry.  I've had the opportunity to analyze the results along with the index cards you submitted and based on experience, summer training, long run and time trial results I have created 3 running "groups."  These groups are what should be termed "general' groups because there are different levels within them.  The general groups are best described coincidentally by the actual time trial results which for the most part correspond with your level of summer training (with a couple of exceptions.)

Group 1 - All those under 15:00 PLUS Matt Avery, Jack Ryan, Cam Wilson, Dorothy DiMascio-Donohue and Camryn Boyce

Group 2 - All those between 15:00 and sub 20:00 PLUS Tom Allen, Tori Boss, Tori Carleton, Maddie Navicky and Maeve Rooney

Group 3 - All those over 20:00 PLUS Julian Anderson, Katie Ryan and Chloe Wilson

Tomorrow the Groups will be assigned to Coach George (#1), Coach S (#2) and Coach Dawn (#3.)

The workout will be an easy run of a yet to be determined distance, time and pace following a warm up and followed by 6 X 60 strides, 10 X 1 Core, and Stretching.  Your coach will give you additional details at 8:00 AM tomorrow.

I sent out e-mails to the handful of you who do not have a current physical.  It is is important, no, IMPERATIVE that you submit a copy of your current physical TOMORROW!!!

Today we discussed a number of things including (1) emergency procedures, (2) notifying the coach (via text at 781-367-8487) in the event of an absence, and (3) the additional starting time for practice for those who MUST stay after school for academic purposes.
