The Whitman-Hanson Boys Cross Country (2-2) team fell to Duxbury Tuesday afternoon at home 25-32. Panther harrier Andrew Newman won again for the 4th time this season in a time of 16:33 over the 5K course. Duxbury placed 4 of the next 5 runners, Chris Meehan (2nd, 16:42), Will Bittrich (4th, 16:46), Sam Worley (5th, 16:46) and Hanry Lanza (6th, 17:26) to seal the win for visiting Duxbury. Senior Captain Jack Ryan had a great finish to take 3rd place in 16:45 and Freshman standout Liam Cafferty finished 7th in 17:43. Also scoring for Whitman were Cam Wilson (18:09) and Theo Kamperides (18:21.)
Senior Captain Nicole Norve of Whitman-Hanson won for the 4th time this season but Whitman-Hanson (1-3) lost to a talented Duxbury team Tuesday afternoon at home, 23 -38. Katie Cass and Isabel Foley finished 2/3 for Duxbury in 19:58 and 20:24, respectively. Senior Julia Cosgrave was Whitman-Hanson's second finisher placing 4th in 21:58. Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers were Camryn Boyce (10th, 22:08) , Victoria Boss (11th, 22:16) and Maeve Rooney (12th, 22:41.)
