Whitman-Hanson @ Plymouth North

The following was provided to the media following today's meet.  An abridged version (with only WH athletes listed) was sent to Administration.   And yes, there is an error I failed to correct inasmuch as we can't have 6 Boys scoring.  But Nick's 10th place overall, 6th for the team finish gave us a point we would not otherwise have had so I'm good with that!  Full race details follow at the link below.

GIRLS

Whitman-Hanson Girls Cross Country fell to 1-1 on the season in a loss at Plymouth North (1-1) Wednesday afternoon 27-29.  The Panthers Myah Kamperides placed first overall on the 2.65 Mile course in 17:16, but Plymouth North took 4 of the next 5 spots with Paige Joyce (2nd, 17:21), Lauren Joyce (3rd, 18:28), Faith Duquette (5th 19:11) and Grace McNeill (6th, 19:12) leading the way.  Tori Boss took 4th overall in 18:53 for the visitors, while Tori Carleton (7th, 19:21), Anna Flynn (8th, 19:24) and Bryn Miller (9th, 19:25) rounded out the scoring for Whitman-Hanson.

BOYS

The Whitman-Hanson Boys Cross Country team improved to 2-0 with a close win at Plymouth North (1-1) Wednesday afternoon.  James Doherty took first overall for Plymouth North on the 2.65 Mile course in a time of 13:58, followed by the Panthers Theo Kamperides in 14:07.  North's Chris Hogan was 3rd (14:57) with the next three spots going to Whitman-Hanson's Brandon Hager (4th,15:02), Nathan Tassey (5th, 15:07) and Adam Solari (15:18) to seal the victory.  Closing out the scoring were North's Liam Husband (7th, 15:20) and William Buckley (8th, 15:23) along with Whitman-Hanson's Chris MacDonald (15:32) and Nick Hanley (15:44.)
