Tuesday, September 29, 2020 - Practice Day #10

"Going to press" is of little significance to your generation, but I'll apologize anyway for doing so at this late hour.  Some days the other job, the one that is less fun, gets in the way.  I'm looking forward to 2:30!

A reminder that tomorrow is Wednesday and everybody should have a uniform for Media Day and picture taking which will be taking place in the courtyard at 12:50.  I have uniforms available each day at practice for $39.00.

Yesterday's Neon Gaiter Award went to Liam Cafferty who started off hot as a Freshman, taking Rookie-of-the-Year Honors and being a consistent scorer on the Varsity squad, and he has continued with that trend ever since.  OK, the blisters were a minor setback (told you I give Trevor a hard time occasionally.)  Liam is an extremely hard worker, many days doing not one, but two workouts.  This year he came to our first day of practice as strong and fit as ever and it has shown in his results through Day #10.  Liam, like all our Captains, is an extraordinary role model when it comes to dedication to excellence.  Congratulations Trevor!

Today's workouts:

Groups 1 and 2 - Recovery run of 12% of weekly mileage (minimum 4 - Town Park and return) Strides, Core and Stretch

Groups 3, 4, 5 - Mile warm up, 6 x 200 w/ 2 minute recovery, Mile cool down Core and Stretch

That all folks . . . back to the drudgery.  See you at 2:30
