OK, today was a tough day for me. 25 Minutes at an Easy pace (3+ miles) plus 4X around the soccer pitch (yes, it is a pitch) and 5X conditioning drills with Coach Moran and I'm beat. I don't get to race tomorrow. I only wish I could. Duxbury is a worthy opponent, especially on the Boys side. The race strategy tomorrow is to go out and run your best 5K of the year! No tempo, no modified tempo, no pack running . . . run your race! New training times will be posted on Thursday after we've analyzed the results. Expect to win because you have worked hard in order to win. You deserve to win. You are physically prepared to succeed, now prepare mentally . . . you WILL do your best. There is no better feeling than looking back on your day and thinking "I pushed myself today and accomplished more than I thought possible." Tomorrow evening at this time (6:15PM) I want you to be able to say you left it all on the course, you performed to the very best of your ability, and you are proud of your achievement. I'll be the first to give you a congratulatory pat on the head! See you at 2:30 for pictures and then we are in victory mode . . . Get Ready!
