THURSDAY - 10/27/16 (AMENDED)

Back to work as a team today!  Yesterday was a tad weird with different start times at different locations.  I had to attend the end-of-year League meeting in Pembroke at 5:00 and couldn't get to the Middle School, but I am told you went in good numbers and provided valuable assistance.  Thank you to all those who participated.

Rain is in the forecast for today, unfortunately.  On the bright side, it is not expected to arrive until 4:00PM and I hope to have you on your way by then.

First, the entries for the Patriot League Meet are as follows:

BOYS VARSITY: Coletti, Moscoso, Newman, Pulkinen, Ryan, Uva, and Wilson
BOYS JV:  Allen, Avery, Bukow, Burns, Craven, Hager, Solari, Tyrie, Wallace, Watson
GIRLS VARSITY: Boss, Boyce, Carleton, Cosgrave, Morse, Norve, Rooney
GIRLS JV: Brown, Craven, Daly, Donovan, McDonough, Navicky, Zaniewski

Although not all our athletes qualified to compete on Saturday, ALL are asked to attend and are absolutely welcome as they are all important members of our team.  Unfortunately, with every team in the league placing entries, cutoffs were required.

Now for today's training session (i.e. workout.)  As most of you know, I've changed things up a bit this year with regard to our training.  Now as we've entered the "Championship" phase of our season, we return to the tried and true methods.  Today it will be 40 minutes Easy, followed by 6 X 200, Abs and Stretching for ALL!  Tomorrow its 30 Easy plus 6 X 60 Strides, Abs, and Stretch.  Saturday morning the bus departs at 8:15 for Pembroke High School for the Patriot League Championship Meet.  T-Shirts (and they are pretty cool!) will be available for $15.00. See them at:

The Pembroke course has been extended to a 5K and the team has been grooming it as well.  A course map can be viewed at:

It should be a great finish to the season for many of you.  Following the meet 10 Boys and 10 Girls will be asked to continue on.  All will be entered for EMass, however only 7 can participate in the race.  My experience is that many things can happen in the two weeks leading up to EMass.  Injury, grades, illness . . . any number of things.  Alternates often get in!  More details to follow . . .

See you at 2:30!
