sometimes it just turns out that way. Rain, damp and cold is the forecast. California dreamin' on such a winter's day. Today's practice will start indoors anyway. Thanks again to those of you who practiced Saturday. An absolutely impressive workout! I was really hoping to get a little up-tempo work in this afternoon but we'll have to wait on the weather I'm afraid. If we get to run outside it will be 10 Minutes Easy, 6 X Rock, 1 Mile Ins/Outs, 7 Minutes Easy, 8 X 1 Min, 22, Stretch. Inside, you know the drill.
Over the past couple of months some of you may have noticed a bit of a change in our training. For years I've been following a plan which has been time tested and proven successful. That plan, by the way, was not my creation. There is after all little new in running. Nearly all coaches find something that works which was put together and put into use many years ago. But recently I read a book which makes incredible sense of it all. And based on recent results of our most dedicated runners and practices like that of Saturday I have begun to see there may be a better way. I won't ask that you read the book which is referenced in the link which follows, the article is a superb summary. But, if you'd like some insight into what you've been asked to do, it may be an interesting read.
