PRESS RELEASE

Full results will follow but in all likelihood, the newspapers (the Ledger anyway) will run what Hingham submits.  They did, after all, dominate.  However, the following was forwarded to the media as well as our Administration earlier this evening.

HINGHAM TAKES DOWN WHITMAN-HANSON BOYS AND GIRLS IN CROSS COUNTRY
Senior Andrew Newman ran away with his first place finish on Hingham's home course in 16:40 but the Harbormen placed 7 of the next 8 runners to win handily 22-39.  Sr Captain Jack Ryan also ran well for the Panthers placing 5th (17:39) in the loss.  Up and coming Freshman Liam Cafferty was the third Panther across the finish line (10th, 18:10) ahead of Senior Captain Alex Uva (11th, 18:42.) W-H drops to 2-1 at the hands of undefeated Hingham.
For the Girls, Panther Sr Captain Nicole Norve also won her race in 21:46.  But it was Hingham placing runners 2 through 8 to seal the 20-43 victory.  Also scoring for Whitman-Hanson was SR Julia Cosgrave (9th, 22:57), JR Maeve Rooney (12th, 23:25), SR Captain Camryn Boyce (14th, 23:30) and JR Dorothy DiMascio-Donahue (16th, 23:36.)  The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
