Did you get a voice mail on your cell phone this morning informing you there was no school? Some things have changed dramatically since I was your age. We would sit around the kitchen listening to WBZ radio for the no-school announcement and I vividly remember my mother's consternation when she learned that she would share company with the 5 of us for the day. Then, like now, I preferred to have class. Then, because at that time I enjoyed being with my friends more than my 4 younger brothers. Now, because I want to hold practice this afternoon and am not yet sure we can. I have contacted Mr. Rodgers and he will let me know just as soon as he can. Check back a little later . . . I'm still hoping to see you all at 2:30.
UPDATE (11:00AM) - Per Mr. Rodgers, a decision on afternoon activities will be made at or prior to 1:00PM. I'll continue checking. Next update will include details of today's workout . . .

FINAL UPDATE (12:35) - All afternoon and evening activities have been canceled, including sports teams practices. This is for safety reasons I'm told and I fully understand that. In good conscience I can't even ask you to run on your own. Have a pleasant day and we'll see you tomorrow. Same time, same place as usual!
