Whitman-Hanson versus Silver Lake

The visiting Whitman-Hanson Boys Cross Country team (3-2) placed the first 9 runners to down Silver Lake High School 15-50 on Tuesday afternoon.  The Panthers top finisher was SR Andrew Newman who won for the 5th time this season in 16:38  Second to fifth places went to  SR Captain Jack Ryan (17:08,) FR Liam Cafferty (17:50,) FR Theo Kamperides (18:21) and SR Captain Alex Uva ((18:26.)  Top finisher for Silver Lake was Ryan McCarthy in 19:08.

Senior Captain Nicole Norve  took 1st place in her 5th consecutive race of the season as the visiting Whitman-Hanson Girls team (2-3) won its meet at Silver Lake 19-42.  Silver Lake's top finisher, Allie Tonsberg placed 2nd overall in 21:33.  The Panthers placed the next four runners SR Julia Cosgrave (21:43,) SR Captain Camryn Boyce (22:15,) JR Dorothy DiMascio-Donohue (23:02,) and  JR Maeve McDonough (23:47) to seal the victory.
