Somehow it doesn't feel right not having practice today, but I hope you are enjoying the day off from school and that you got in a a shakeout run anyway.

Tomorrow we travel to Silver Lake for a Patriot League dual meet.  The girls race will run at 4:00 and immediately upon its conclusion the Boys will get their chance.  Our bus leaves at 2:30 tomorrow in order to give us plenty of time and opportunity to tour the S/L course.  It is important that you tour the course and pay attention.  Why?  Because it is very confusing if you don't run it regularly.  A couple of years ago our two top girls got way out in front and made a wrong turn and completed one of the loops on the course in reverse.  This really created some bad karma at the finish.  S/L parents argued our girls had not completed the course and should be disqualified.  Fortunately, sanity prevailed (I argued the girls HAD gone the proper distance regardless of the direction they ran the loop) and we won the meet, but it was not without controversy and raised voices.  On the same day in the Boys race our leader took a wrong turn and was eventually called back by some of his own teammates.  Unfortunately he had lost the lead and never regained it ending up in tie for second place.  I do not want any problems this year.  Forewarned is forearmed.

Weather tomorrow will be warm and sunny.
