Sophomore Theo Kamperides was named a Patriot League All-Star today after leading the Panthers to a 5th place finish at the Patriot League Cross Country Championship Meet. Theo finished 12th overall on Pembroke High School’s 5K course in 17:58. The Girls finished 8th behind Junior Tori Boss who finished in 21:50. Also running well were Brandon Hager, Adam Solari, Liam Cafferty and Evan Jewett for the Boys. For the girls, Maeve McDonough, Niki Kamperides, Sarah Boulger and Dorothy DiMascio-Donahue filled out the top 5.
The foregoing was sent to Administration following yesterday's Patriot League Meet. And while we won't be holding any parades for our teams today, the season does continue. We plan to practice with the entire team through November 6th when we will hold a final 2 Mile Time Trial. We are hoping many of you are considering participating in Indoor Track and Field, with sign ups taking place tomorrow at 1:50 before XC practice.
I am not yet in T&F mode, and with a lot of XC left, who can blame me. I'll be ready to go on November 26th though, our first day of practice. Right now I'm focusing on closing out our XC season with a good showing at EMass, with selections of participants pending. Today, will be a relatively easy day for all with Fun Friday moving back to Wednesday. Tomorrow, T&F signups with practice to follow. Friday, practice will be followed with an ice cream social for those who qualified (Coach S will advise.)
Enjoy your Halloween, it is one of my favorite days of the year. But remember it is back to work first. See you at 2:30 . . .
