Patriot League Championship AND MIAA Indoor Division 3 Track & Field Championship Info

Following last night's Patriot League Championship meet the following was submitted to Administration and local media:

The Whitman-Hanson Panther Girls Track & Field team finished 6th among the 10 Patriot League teams at Friday's Patriot League Championship Meet.  Standouts for Whitman-Hanson included Myah Kamperides who won the 2 Mile in a personal record of 11:49, Isabelle Amado who finished 3rd in the 1000 Meter run in 3:16, and Ryley Hurley who finished 5th in the 300 Meter run in a time 49.58.

This morning, after reviewing the results during the season, the Division 3 results overall, and the qualifying standards for the D3 Championship Meet, the following entries to the D3 meet have been made.  This is not a guarantee that each athlete and relay team will ultimately be accepted into the race, but there is a reasonable expectation that many of those listed WILL take part in the meet.  All those listed are expected at practice Monday at 2:30:

300M - Ryley Hurley (missed by .17)

1000M - Isabelle Amado (15)
2 Mile - Myah Kamperides (7)
55M Hurdles - April Keyes (20), Samantha Perkins (24)
