Whitman-Hanson vs Marshfield

BOYS

Whitman-Hanson Boys Cross Country (1-1) lost to a deep and talented Marshfield team at home on Tuesday afternoon 15-50.  Top finishers for the Panthers on the 5K course were Juniors Logan Bourgelas (18:47), Alex Kehayias (18:48), Gavin McCarthy (19:52), Shane Johnson (19:57) and Senior Jonathan Young (20:00.)

GIRLS

In Girls Cross Country Tuesday, Whitman-Hanson (0-2) fell to Marshfield 18-37 on its 5K home course.  Marshfield secured the win placing the top three finishers but running great races for the Panthers were Sophomore McKenna McCarthy (4th, 20:31) and Junior Sky Bucci-Anderson (6th, 20:54).  Junior Caroline Poth (8th, 22:58), Senior Anne Tilley (9th, 23:17) and Junior Amiliya Gretsky (10th, 23:32) rounded out the Whitman-Hanson top 5.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Marshfield 15, Whitman-Hanson 50: In the home loss, Logan Bourgelas (18:47) was the top finisher for the Panthers (1-1) on their 5K course.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Marshfield 18, Whitman-Hanson 37: Sophomores Eleanor Angeles-Whitfield (19:19), Ava Brunswick (20:05) and Charlotte Perreault (20:28) finished 1-2-3 for the Rams in the victory at W-H's 5K course. Sophomore McKenna McCarthy (20:31) placed fourth for the host Panthers (0-2).
