Wednesday, September 21

Yesterday's meet was interesting certainly from a number of standpoints.  We have not yet had a complete Girls team in a Dual Meet, which has resulted in an 0-3 record.  While I don't believe we "have the horses" just yet to compete with a team as strong as Plymouth North, we are NOT an 0-3 team.  While the 0-3 record may let opponents put their guard down, we should be 2-1.  Think of yourself in those terms and continue to work hard to prove it.  For the Boys I believe we are right on schedule.  Most of our top runners ran their best race (and PRs as well) at last year's Twilight Meet. We have Duxbury and Hingham over the next two weeks and we will have a pretty good feel for where we stand following those tough meets.  Both Duxbury and Hingham are running extremely well.  Both teams tend to finish as a pack, something they will probably reconsider against our Boys.  We do need a couple of boys to step up.  Number 5 may be the most important position on this team.

Today, it will be hot but we have H2O.  A quick warmup and groups will be going 40-60 Easy minutes.  Today is Day 23 of practice.  Almost all of you are capable of running 40 minutes at an Easy pace.  Strides, Abs and Stretching following our run.

See you at 2:30.
