Following yesterday's Patriot League Championship and some pretty incredible results from both the Girls and Boys teams, we turn the page and get to work in preparation for EMass. EMass is, and should be, every Cross Country runner's holy grail. It is the culmination of months, and for some, years of hard work. This year's teams have distinguished themselves in many respects already, but the real prize awaits. All can take pride in the teams' accomplishments, however only 10 will be continuing on.
For the Boys it will be: Burns, Coletti, Hager, Moscoso, Newman, Pulkinen, Ryan, Solari, Uva, Wilson
And the Girls: Boss, Boyce, Carleton, Cosgrave, Daly, Morse, Navicky, Norve, Perkins, Rooney
Those listed will be entered on the EMass roster, however only 7 can participate in the race. If either the Boys or Girls advance as team to the All-State Meet we will, in all likelihood, enter the same 7 for that meet as well. We can make substitutions if necessary to a qualifying team. Individuals qualifying for the All-State Meet can not be substituted for.
Tomorrow (Monday) will be a long run with 8 members of the Boys team (Coletti, Hager, Moscoso, Newman, Pulkinen, Ryan and Uva and Wilson) headed to World's End at 2:00. We will meet at the Track. Other Boys and 10 Girls (and any team members who would like to continue running) will also be running long with Coach Berens and Coach Richardson.
75 Minutes for the World's End group, 60 minutes for all others with 8 x 1 minute abs and stretch.
The link will take you to a scene from one of my favorite movies of all time. The message is fairly simple despite the 50's dramatics . . . Finish what you started - Let's go to work!!!
