Yesterday's meet was . . . uplifting.  Approaching inspirational even.  The last time we ran at home was October 3 versus Duxbury.  Many of you posted PRs at that time.  Cross Country is a sport which builds to the point where your performances "peak" at a time where they are the most valuable; the Championship segment of our season.  That time has come.  In yesterday's meet more than half of each team improved on his/her October 3 performance.  Some athletes improved by 2:00+.  Your hard work has paid off and will continue to pay off in the weeks to come.  You are capable of even more.

Today will be an EASY run of varying times and distances.  Details will be provided at 2:30.  I am hopeful this great weather will continue.  I'm cautiously optimistic the rain will have moved out by the time we meet on the Track.

Saturday is the Patriot League Championship Meet.  On Saturday morning though I am looking for volunteers to work a water stop on Holly Ridge Drive in Hanson.  Damien's is holding a 5K race to benefit the Hanson Little League.  Mr. Paul Clark of Damien's helped us out last year at our Alumni Race held Thanksgiving weekend and this is our opportunity to return the kindness while helping a good cause.  I hope you will join me between 9:00 and 10:30 on Holly Ridge Drive.  I'll be taking names later today and tomorrow . . . Thanks in advance.

See you at 2:30 . . . I know there will be at least 2 game balls . . .
