Whitman-Hanson versus Plymouth South

The following was provided to Administration and the Media following today's close (as promised) meet.

Whitman-Hanson (4-3) hosted Plymouth South on its 5K course and won a close meet 26 - 31.  Plymouth South's Sophomore Strickland Davis (1st, 16:42) edged the Panthers Senior Andrew Newman (2nd, 16:43) but W-H placed 4  more runners among the top 8 to seal the win (SR Capt Jack Ryan, 3rd 16:57; FR Theo Kamperides (6th; 17:57); FR Liam Cafferty (7th; 17:58) and SR Cam WIlson (8th; 18:03.)  

The Whitman-Hanson Girls (3-4) edged Plymouth South 27-28 at home Tuesday afternoon.  South's Jillian Callahan  (19:35) took 1st place by a split second over the Panthers Senior Captain Nicole Norve (2nd, 19:35.)  SR Julia Cosgrave (3rd; 21:44), SR  Captain Camryn Boyce (4th, 22:04), JR Maeve Rooney (8th, 22:55) and  JR Dorothy DiMascio-Donohue (10th, 23:36) all scored in the Panther victory.

The results of today's meet were again . . . outstanding.  Ladies, just like you were told, 27-28 winners.  Extraordinary effort by all!  Boys, you came through in the clutch.  We knew you could do it!
