I'm an early riser. Many nonagenarians are. Thankfully. (Think about it.) I woke up at 4:30 AM with purpose . . . to listen to the new U2 album - available today. The opening line* of song #1 set the tone for my day. Best day ever.
I've been going over the results of the sprinters this week and am impressed. Really impressed. After working with the distance/mid-distance runners and lady shot put throwers I am even more impressed. Coach Driscoll put it best in saying those other (great teams) will have to pay attention to W-H. Couldn't agree more.
Today Coach D and Coach S have a timed/drill workout planned. Of course we have something for the Distance/Mid-Distance Groups, each of which will be designated before heading out. (Relatively) easy day for all. I'll also be working with several groups on hand-offs. I can't stress enough the importance of our relay teams. Placing first in the 4x200 and the 4X400 represents a big swing in the dual meets. 10 points for the winners, 0 for second place. I am confident we have some remarkable talent in those events. December 13th will be here before you know it and we face a very talented, and deep Hingham team. In fact, we meet nothing but very talented teams this season in Hingham, Duxbury, Pembroke, Plymouth North and Silver Lake. An incomplete schedule can be found at:

(Check the box for indoor Boys or Girls track and then click "show schedule" just above it.)
Saturday AM will see a short practice - 9:00 - 10:00 for all. For now I'm focusing on today (best day ever). Fun Friday #1. See you at 2:30
